Commemorative covers (click on the image below to switch between the two) can be mail-ordered for $3 each from Curt Shawkey, 610 Malvern Hill Dr., Madison, WI 53718. Orders filled after cancel date of April 15, 2012. Include a No. 10 SASE and make checks payable to Badger Stamp Club.

The show's covers, Fort Sumter and First Bull Run, commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. The image is Camp Randall (Madison, WI) in 1862, at which time it was Wisconsin's major military camp to train volunteer soldiers. Approximately 70,000 were mustered here. The camp's 10 acres were surrounded by an 8-foot board fence. More than 1200 Confederate prisoners were held here between April and June 1862.
